One of our favorite assignments is providing images for websites. Nothing makes a site come alive like some on-point photographs.

Glenda Hoon of Drip Drop Creative contacted us about a project she was working on — creating a website for RPI’s Hahn Tissue Lab at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY.

As Glenda described the scope of the project and her creative vision for it, we realized we were dealing with a truly three-dimensional thinker, and Grupp & Rose simply HAD to be part of this project. The project entailed a diverse range of photography over several months — ranging from images of life in Troy in general, and at RPI in particular. Then there was a morning of photography inside the Tissue Lab, and a session at our studio to create cohesive headshots for all the participants.

Glenda challenged us to create arrestingly bright, high-key images with lots of life and movement. Then she took those images and used them in the website in beautiful and creative ways — providing an editorial voice that took our work far beyond anything we expected. Simply put, a photographers dream!
